Surveying Assignment

Do some surveying on your own! The bigger the better: if you're going to Arizona, span the Grand Canyon; if New York, measure the Statue of Liberty! The only requirements: it must be at least difficult enough that using the Law of Sines or Law of Cosines is required (not just simple right triangles), you must make all angle measurements yourself (if necessary you can use some pre-established horizontal distances from a map, but try to avoid it), and you must turn in a write-up of your findings showing all calculations, with diagrams and explanations. Be creative, be accurate, and have fun!
